About Shahab


Shahab is the founding partner of Consors Healthcare Advisors and is a nationally experienced, values driven healthcare business leader with executive experience that spans 30 years. He has extensive experience in health system strategy, physician-hospital alignment, population health, health system operations, and value-based integration of physicians and hospitals. Shahab has served as the key architect and chief negotiator in several contractual economic joint ventures, academic medical center affiliations, and numerous physician/medical practice acquisitions.

Prior to founding Consors Healthcare Advisors, Shahab was initially a senior advisor and later the Senior Vice President for Strategy and Integration for a large multi-campus health system. During his nearly ten years in this role, he led the system’s transformation during a period of rapid growth in which the health system added dozens of ambulatory sites and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues.

Previously, Shahab served as Chief Executive of ambulatory care at Sutter Health; Regional Operating Executive at Kaiser Permanente’s Mid-Atlantic States market, and Interim Chief Executive of Providence Health & Services physician enterprise in the Los Angeles Market. In addition to founding a his national healthcare advirosy firm in 2008, Shahab also co-founded a start-up national physician enterprise which was later acquired by one of the global Fortune 500 companies.

Shahab holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Pepperdine University’s Presidential Key Executive program (PKE), earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from California State University, Sacramento, and completed studies in economics and British Law in London, England.
