About John

John is a former CEO and senior operations executive with 25 years of experience in healthcare services industry – acute care, sub-acute care, and ambulatory care – in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, including academic medical centers.

Before healthcare consulting, John was CEO of California Rehabilitation Institute – the largest acute rehabilitation hospital on the West Coast. Previously, he served Johns Hopkins Medicine as Director of office of EVP/COO for Johns Hopkins Health System and service line administrator.

John’s M&A experience includes hands-on facilitation and support for three successful, large-scale, health system mergers in Northern California and the Baltimore-Washington DC region. Additionally, at Tenet Healthcare, he performed and led operational efficiency, financial and IT internal audits of domestic and international healthcare facilities. John started his career in public accounting with the firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

John earned his MBA from the Johns Hopkins University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, and a Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives. He has completed several executive education programs at Harvard, Stanford and Wharton.
