About Dr. Browning
Dr. Browning is a practicing physician and an accomplished physician executive with nearly 30 years of clinical practice and medical leadership. He currently serves as the medical director for a California-based multi-site imaging company, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for a national accreditation organization, and Global CMO for Radlogics, a New York and Tel Aviv based healthcare software company. Radlogics is one of the recognized pioneers in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning image analysis and data analytics. Dr. Browning has served as a founding member and key advisor to several start-up companies leveraging technology to improve productivity and seamless integration of workflow.
Prior to his current clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Browning served as the Vice-President and Medical Director for Specialty Services at Magellan Healthcare, a managed care organization focusing on solutions for complex specialty care, behavioral health, and back-office automation. During his 10 years at a large multi-specialty medical group in the North Bay Region of California, he served as Section Chief, supported and implemented clinical integration, and worked with administrative leadership to expand the group’s geographic footprint. Dr. Browning spent a total of 10 years at Sutter Health, and in 2010 led the creation of and transition to Sutter Health’s own internal Division of Imaging. Serving as Sutter Health’s inaugural Chief of Radiology, he led one of the largest radiology groups in the region with over one million interpretations annually.
Dr. Browning earned his medical degree from University of California, Davis and completed his residency and fellowship at Stanford University Hospital. He received his master’s degree in the history of medicine from UC San Francisco and Master of Science in law from University of Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. Dr. Browning has co-authored over a dozen peer-reviewed publications and continues to advise several start-up companies focused on new technologies to support wellness and prevention.
